- The Candidates must cleared post-graduate degree / Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 year degree /BE / B.Tech / B.Pharma / MBBS etc.
- For General and OBC (NonCrème Layer): Minimum 55% marks required.
- For SC / ST / Physically Handicapped: Minim 50 % marks are required.
- The Candidates has completed 10+2+3 year’s degree and also registered their name in MSC they can also apply for the test. (They should get the required marks in qualifying degree in which they had registered before the admission).
- The candidates have completed B.Sc. or equivalent and appeared in MS-PhD program with the minimum percentage of 55%. It decreases to 50% for the OBC casts. Physically or visually handicapped can also apply.
- The students will obtain fellowship after successfully registered in Ph.D. programs. It is applicable for those who had completed a degree in Engineering, Science and in another discipline.
- Junior Research Fellowship: Candidates should not exceed 28 Years, and 5 Years relaxation is provided to the candidates belongs to OBC/SC/ST/PWD.
- Assistant Professor: There is No Upper Age Limit for this NET exam for Assistant Professor.
Examination Fee details:
- For General: Rupees 1000/- is required to apply.
- For OBC and Noncrème layer: Rupees 500
- For SC/ST/PH and usually handicapped: Rupees 250 needed.
Mode of payment: The entire applicants need to pay application fee through the Indian Bank across the country. Candidates from Srinagar and Imphal should deposit their fees through RTGS or NEFT.

UGC NET 2017
The Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE has uploaded the UGC NET Online Application Form 2017 on its official website. The University Grant Commission organize the National Eligibility Test twice in a year to check the ability of the Post Graduate scholars for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor. Every year the lots of students are filling the online application form for this test across the India.
The Central Board of Secondary Education is organizing this test under the supervision of University Grant Commission. All the students who want to enroll in Doctorate degree in top universities should have to clear the National Eligibility Test. There is a provision to give a scholarship to those scholars who will clear the JRF test also.
This year UGC NET 2017 exam has been scheduled to be held on June 2017, interested scholars can apply online till the 2017. After the last date, there is no provision to accept the form with late fee.

Minimum Qualification:
Applicants should have completed the Post Graduate degree in relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks aggregate. Some Under Graduate courses candidates are also eligible for this test, please refer the official link at the end of this post.
Age Criteria
- Candidates who want to apply for Assistant Professor then the max age limit is the 28th year.
- There is no bar of age for Junior Research Fellowship.
